Ceilings

600 × 600 metal and acoustic ceiling tiles, lay-in and clip-in

GYPTECH metal ceiling tiles give a demountable ceiling: a plain or perforated metal face with an acoustic backing, carried on an exposed grid or a concealed spring carrier. Any tile can be opened, so the services above stay reachable without cutting or making good.

Frequently asked questions

Lay-in or clip-in — what is the difference?

A lay-in tile rests in an exposed T-grid (15 or 24 mm face) and lifts out by hand. A clip-in tile clips onto a concealed T- or A-spring carrier for a flush ceiling with no visible grid, and is released with a key tool. Hook-in mounting is also offered, specified per project.

What makes a metal tile acoustic?

The perforated face together with the backing behind it: a heat-bonded acoustic fleece on the rear face and, where specified, a 25 mm mineral wool pad. The perforation pattern, open area and backing are chosen per project.

Can you match an existing grid?

Lay-in tiles are made for T15 and T24 exposed grids. Send us the existing grid type and module and we confirm the tile format, edge and carrier at submittal.

Do you supply only, or supply and install?

Both, under one contract if you need it: tiles, grid or carrier, perimeter trims, hangers and fixings, supplied with installation. Light fittings, diffusers and sprinklers are coordinated into the grid module with the MEP design.

What drawings do you need to price?

A reflected ceiling plan or a BOQ, with the ceiling height, the module and mounting type you want, plain or perforated face, and the light and diffuser positions. We confirm the module and carrier type in our proposal.

Ready to price your project?
