Frequently asked questions
Phenolic or HPL compact laminate — what are your panels?
In the regional market both names are used for solid compact board cubicles. Our panels are compact melamine-faced board, moisture-resistant through the full thickness (Type MDF.H to EN 622-5) — the construction the market calls solid phenolic. If your specification calls for compact laminate to EN 438-4, tell us at enquiry stage and we confirm acceptance before ordering.
What does a priceable cubicle BOQ include?
The number of standard and accessible cubicles and any urinal screens, the cubicle sizes or a dimensioned layout, door width and swing, panel thickness, hardware line (stainless steel or black nylon), decor, floor clearance and the site location. A washroom plan is enough for us to prepare the quantities.
Do you supply only, or supply and install?
We supply and install under one contract: panels, aluminium profiles, hardware and fixings, installed under GYPTECH site supervision. Finished walls and floor, sanitaryware and plumbing, and ventilation are by others.
What drawings do you need to price?
A washroom layout plan with room dimensions, or your BOQ. Door swings, accessible cubicles and wall positions help us set out the run; we then prepare shop drawings for approval before fabrication.
Which hardware should I choose for a coastal or humid washroom?
Two hardware lines are offered: stainless steel (304, with 316 on part of the range, item by item) and black nylon. The line and grade are chosen per project; for coastal and high-humidity rooms we agree them with you in the project hardware schedule.
